1st legal recreational pot industry opens in U.S.

The United States' first recreational marijuana industry opened Jan. 1 in Colorado, starting an experiment that will be watched closely round the world.
Activists hope to prove that legalization is a better alternative than the costly American-led war on drugs, and also say it will bring in money for the state.
Skeptics worry marijuana will become more widely available to teens, even though only adults over 21 may buy the drug.
