Germany beats Brazil 7-1 in shock semifinal

Germany tore apart Brazil’s de-fense time and again July 8, routing the hosts 7-1 in the World Cup semifinals, a record defeat for Brazil in a World Cup match.
Playing without poster boy Neymar, Brazil conceded five goals in the first 30 minutes.
“The responsibility for this catastrophic result is mine,” Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said. “I was in charge.”
Many Brazilian fans were so stunned, they left the packed Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte before halftime. (AP)
