Ebola outbreak death toll tops 600: WHO

The death toll from the Ebola outbreak in West Africa has risen to 603 since February, making it the worst outbreak recorded in the world, the World Health Organization said July 15.
International and local medics were struggling to get access to communities as many people feared outsiders were spreading rather than fighting Ebola.
“We still face rumors and suspicion and hostility,” WHO spokesman Dan Epstein told a news briefing in Geneva. “People are isolated, they’re afraid, they’re scared.” (Reuters)
