赤ちゃんの面倒をみる

KEVIN : Then a good friend of mine rang.
REIKO : "Hi, what's been happening?"
KEVIN : "Not much. I've loafed around at home all day. What about you, how's it going?"
REIKO : "Like always."
KEVIN : "How's the baby?"
REIKO : "Fine, I'm feeding her now."
KEVIN : She told me she was bottle-feeding the baby now.
● ミルクをあげる。
Bottle-feed.
Get up.
KEVIN : She wasn't breast-feeding the baby any more.
● 母乳をあげる。
Breast-feed.
KEVIN : I asked her who was now changing the diapers. Her or her husband?
● おむつを替える。
Change the diapers.
Change the nappies.
KEVIN : She said that both of them changed about the same number of nappies. But she said her husband was better at singing lullabies.
● 子守唄を歌う。
Sing a lullaby.
KEVIN : In fact, her husband spent many evenings just cradling the baby and singing her lullabies.
● 抱いてあやす。
Cradle the baby.
KEVIN : I can't remember doing that myself after the baby was weaned.
● 離乳させる。
Wean the baby.
KEVIN : And then she said she had to go and bathe the baby.
● 風呂に入れる。
Bathe the baby.
