あるコンピューター会社が新作ゲームの開発のために「貧乏体験」を募集した。若者から寄せられたたくさんの体験記を読んで、筆者—

dilapidated ボロボロの	run-down 崩れかかった
crawled into 〜 to find 〜 〜 にもぐりこんだら 〜 がいた	new-born litter of mice 生まれたばかりのネズミの子たち
was far from 〜 少しも 〜 でなかった	build 培った
every cloud there is a silver lining 憂いの反面には喜びがある（諺 Every cloud has a silver lining. から）	dark and gloomy cloud 暗雲
