Awaji suspect 'had trouble with neighbors'

A man who allegedly stabbed five people to death March 9 in a rural area in Hyogo Prefecture had trouble with neighbors in the past, investigation sources said March 10.
Tatsuhiko Hirano, 40, who is apparently unemployed, was arrested March 9 after the stabbing spree at two separate houses in the city of Sumoto on Awaji Island.
The city office said a woman who seems to be a relative of the victims came to the office to ask for free legal help March 4 regarding trouble in her neighborhood. (Kyodo)
