U.S. President Barack Obama has officially changed the name of North America's tallest mountain peak from Mount McKinley to Denali on Aug. 31, bestowing the traditional Alaska Native name on the mountain.
Alaskans have informally called the 6,194-meter mountain Denali for years, but its official name comes from the 25th president, William McKinley, who was born in Ohio. The mountain is 5,000 km from Ohio. (AP)
