A black teenager who was fatally shot by a police officer had his hands raised when the officer approached him with his weapon drawn and fired repeatedly, according to eyewitnesses of the shooting, which sparked a night of unrest in suburban St. Louis.
The FBI opened a probe Aug. 11 into the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, who police said was shot multiple times Aug. 9 after being confronted by an officer in the suburb of Ferguson. Police allege that Brown, who was reportedly unarmed, attacked a police officer. (AP)
