Pregnant woman dies because hospitals full

A pregnant woman, who had lost consciousness during delivery, died after 18 hospitals refused to accept her because their beds were full, an official at a Nara Prefecture hospital said Oct. 17. Mika Takasaki, 32, fell into a coma Aug. 8 while delivering at a hospital in Oyodo, Nara Prefecture. The hospital asked other hospitals to accept Takasaki because it could not deal with the situation, but its requests were rejected. Her newborn son is alive and well. (Kyodo)
意識不明の妊婦を18病院が拒否し、死亡
分娩中に意識を失い、18の病院で受け入れを断られた妊婦が死亡していたことが17日判明した。
