Depressed Asashoryu goes for treatment
Mongolian grand champion Asashoryu left his home Aug. 22 for the first time since Aug. 1 when he was suspended from the next two grand sumo tournaments. The yokozuna, diagnosed with dissociative disorder, went to receive treatment from doctor Shuichiro Takagi. Japan Sumo Association Chairman Kitanoumi suggested Aug. 23 he will allow Asashoryu to return to Mongolia for treatment. (Kyodo)
