Michelin says Tokyo is culinary capital

Tokyo is the world's culinary capital, according to Michelin Guides, which is the French bible of gastronomy.
Michelin Guides published a Tokyo edition Nov. 22. This is the first edition outside Europe and the United States
In the Tokyo edition, Michelin Guides gave 191 stars to 150 restaurants in Tokyo. This is the highest number of stars for any city. Previously, Paris had the most stars, with 98. Eight restaurants in Tokyo received Michelin's highest three-star rating.
Michelin also announced that 82-year-old Jiro Ono of Sukiyabashi Jiro sushi restaurant in Tokyo is the world's oldest three-star chef. (AP)
