American trio win Nobel Prize

Three U.S. economists shared this year's Nobel Prize in economics Oct. 15 for their work on how people's knowledge and self-interest affect their behavior in the market or in social situations such as voting and labor negotiations. The three are Eric S. Maskin, Roger B. Myerson and Leonid Hurwicz. Hurwicz, 90, is the oldest winner of a Nobel Prize. (AP)
