Baseball: Torre to manage Dodgers

Former New York Yankees manager Joe Torre became manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Nov. 5. Torre, 67, quit the Yankees after 12 years with them. He said the Yankees offered him a one-year contract that he thought was insulting. The Dodgers offered him a three-year contract for $13 million (¥1.4 billion). "I didn't sleep all night," Torre said as he was welcomed to the Dodgers. "It's just a great feeling to be here." (AP)
