Injured Tiger Woods wins U.S. Open

Tiger Woods won the U.S. Open on June 16, winning his 14th major despite an injured leg. Woods had been playing for at least 10 months with a torn ligament in his left knee. He had also suffered a double stress fracture in his left leg two weeks before the U.S. Open. He will undergo surgery, but will not take part in two majors and the Ryder Cup. (AP)
