|
Around 50 bodies were found June 25 around 100 kilometers away from a ferry that was wrecked by Typhoon Fengshen in the Philippines.
The ferry was carrying 865 people when it capsized. Around 50 are known to have survived, but there is little hope of finding others. As of June 25, most of the bodies were still inside the ship.
Typhoon Fengshen hit the Philippines on June 21. It was the sixth typhoon of this storm season.
The overall death toll could reach 1,300, and more than 1.4 million people have been forced to evacuate their homes. (AP)
