Ichiro reaches hitting milestone

Ichiro Suzuki doubled down the right-field line in the first inning to record the 2,000th hit of his major league career during the Seattle Mariners' game against the Oakland Athletics on Sept. 6. Ichiro, who has a 17-game hitting streak against Oakland, drilled starter Gio Gonzalez's second pitch for a double and hit No. 2,000.
