Court gives plaintiff ruling in Braille
|
|
The Nagoya District Court on Sept. 7 handed the summary of a judgment in Braille to a blind plaintiff, a rare move in a lawsuit involving disabled people. Akemi Umeo, 62, had demanded a retraction of Nagoya's certification about the degree of her impairment, believing the assessment did not recognize the severity of her condition. The court dismissed the claim by Umeo. (Kyodo News)
