The Japanese Olympic Committee and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government launched Jan. 24 the organizing committee for the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, with former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori as its head.
"We start preparations for the success of the 2020 Games under the leadership of President Mori with ‘all-Japan' efforts," JOC President Tsunekazu Takeda told reporters at the metropolitan government building.
