The government suspects mosquitoes in a few separate locations in Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park may have been responsible for the recent mysterious dengue fever outbreak, NHK reported Sept. 2.
Government officials found that all 22 people so far known to have contracted the disease visited the park or near it in August.
The local government has drained the ponds in the park, NHK said. (The Japan Times)
