Design Olympic mascot, win ¥1 million prize

If you’ve got the design chops to create the mascot for the 2020 Tokyo Games, you could win ¥1 million in prize money.
The Tokyo Games organizing committee on May 22 announced a contest to create the mascot. Submissions will be accepted Aug. 1 to 14 from any resident aged 18 or older.
The organizers said the mascot should reflect Japan’s unique character.
Finalists will receive ¥100,000, and the winner ¥1 million. The contest winner will be announced next March. (The Japan Times)
