At last, British tennis dream comes true

Britain awoke to a new era July 8, into a world in which the tennis-loving public finally has a new Wimbledon champion.

"After 77 years, the wait is over," headlined The Daily Telegraph, a day after Andy Murray beat Novak Djokovic in straight sets to win the men's title at the All-England Club.

With the victory, Murray became the first British man to win the title since Fred Perry in 1936, a victory that has already sparked talk of a knighthood.
