U.S. surveillance programs that tap into phone and Internet connections around the world are making people less safe, former National Security Agency systems analyst Edward Snowden says, in the first videos of him speaking since July 12.
In short clips posted on the WikiLeaks website Oct. 11, Snowden said the NSA mass surveillance "puts us at risk of coming into conflict with our own government."
Snowden described the techniques as "dragnet mass surveillance." (AP)
