Daisy: (cheering up) I'm here for the money, though.
Paul: What money is that?
Daisy: You don't know?
Paul: It's touching how much confidence people have in me.
Daisy: Mr. Vernon came here just before he was iced.
Paul: He's dead?
Daisy: You didn't even know that?
Paul: Go on, rub it in.
Daisy: Well, he was done in by his girl. He'd had cash on him at the time. A load of it, because he was heading for this deal. But she bumped him off and made off with the money.
Paul: Well, doesn't that mean he's not here?
Daisy: But we had our man track her down. It turns out that she hid the cash here so that she could pick it up much later when the whole thing had blown over. Little chance of that.
Paul: She's not ...
Daisy: Dead as disco. Sad. She looked so cute in her outfit. But she had it coming to her.
Paul: Now's the time to channel some of that flower power, Daisy.
Daisy: (enthusiastic) We'd planted her, you see. It'd been a long time in the pipeline. And then at the last minute, the little cat tried to sneak out of our grasp. But we got her.
Paul: Who's we?
Daisy: Charlie. And the bastard's now tricked me.

デイジー： 知らないのかい？
ポール： みんな、僕なら何でも知っていると思ってるらしいね。信頼が厚くて感激しちゃうな。
デイジー： ミスター・バーノンは消される直前にこの宿屋に来たんだよ。
ポール： その男、死んだのか？
デイジー： それも知らないっていうのかい？
ポール： ああ、無知で悪かったね。
デイジー： かかわってた女の子にられたのさ。ある取引のために大金を携帯してたんだが、その子が途中で殺して金を持ち逃げしちまった。
ポール： ってことは、ミスター・バーノンはここにはいないってことじゃないか？
デイジー： でも、あたしたちは手下に女の子の行方をつきとめさせた。その子は現金をここに隠し、ほとぼりが冷めたら取りに来るつもりだったらしい。そうは問屋が卸さないよ。
ポール： まさか、その子は…。
デイジー： お陀仏さ。ご愁傷様。あの衣装、本当に良く似合ってたけどね。ま、自業自得さ。
ポール： 優しい平和なフラワーパワーに立ち戻る潮時じゃないかな、デイジー。
デイジー：（熱っぽく）あの子はもともとあたしたちが送り込んだんだよ。長期計画だったのさ。ところが、土壇場で子猫はあたしたちの手から逃げようとしたんだ。捕まえたけどね。
ポール： あたしたちって？
デイジー： チャーリーとあたし。そして、今度はチャーリーがあたしにいっぱい食わせた。
