Fish and guests stink after three days |

Back in the days when people did not have refrigerators, fish would not stay fresh for very long. Fish would start going bad after three days. This proverb compares fish with guests. It says that you will start disliking people after spending three days with them in your home ? even if they are very good friends. After three days, your guests will become irritating. In other words, if you invite someone to stay at your house, never let them stay for longer than three days.
