手紙の書き方

You may want to write to your host family and get to know them before you arrive. Not only is it a good opportunity to practice your English, but it will make settling in with your new host family that much easier.
Here's a sample letter you could use as a model.
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith,
My name is Taro Yamada and I'll be staying with you for two weeks this summer. I am a 16-year-old high-school student from Tokyo, and this will be my first trip overseas. I just wanted to say hello beforehand. I am very much looking forward to seeing you and the rest of your family.
