Chav

Chav is a negative term that is quite commonly used in Britain at the moment. It refers to a young person, usually from a poor background. A chav is uneducated, has bad taste, and, for some reason, likes designer brands. Chavs often wear Burberry caps, designer T-shirts, white sneakers, and a lot of flashy jewelry. Female chavs usually wear very short skirts and stilettos.
