As you sow, so shall you reap

The imagery of this proverb comes from the harvest. "To sow" means to plant seeds. "Reap" means to collect the benefits of something. According to this proverb, if you do something good, something good will come of it (you will receive something good from it). If you do something bad, something bad will come of it (you will only receive something bad from it).
