Vol. 3 : Let's have a barbeque

Ayaka: Hey Dave, me and a couple of other people from the office are going to barbecue tonight. (1) Wanna come?

David: Er, (2) dunno… I'm seriously behind. I'm brain-dead today. I was supposed to have handed this in two hours ago and I'm still working on it.

Ayaka: What is that?

David: (3) Remember that meeting last month when the big man lost it because we'd screwed up that data?

Ayaka: Oh, yeah, yeah, THAT. And we were told, well YOU were told, to (4) re-do it. Reckon you can (5) get it done soon?

David: Yeah, I think so. I'm almost done. So, where's it taking place?

Ayaka: There's this cool place right by the Tama river. It's like a 15-minute walk from Kabe station. My friend lives nearby and she's (1) gonna (5) have everything set up for us. I'm supposed to be meeting her at seven. You think you can (6) make it?

David: Er, no, I think I will be late by an hour or so.

Ayaka: Okay, well you can call me on my cell when you get there and my friend can pick you up at the station.

David: Right, thanks. Oh, and what if it rains?

Ayaka: Hopefully it won't, but if it does, I guess you'll do the honors and hold the umbrella over the grill.

David: Thanks! See you later then.
