Nengajyo is a traditional culture in Japan. For me, it is something important in a way. I mean, If I don't write them at the end of the year, I feel uncomfortable. Every year, my father writes more than one hundred New Year's greeting cards with his fountain pen. On the other hand, I write about twenty with my calligraphy pen which my mother gave me for my birthday. And I receive Nengajyo from my old brother's family. When I write words, I have to be careful not to make a mistake in writing. And writing Nengajyo by hand takes more time than just typing e-mails. I believe that's the way to show my tenderness.
