英語のことわざ
Dead men don't bite. |
listen!
|
This proverb is often used to justify killing someone. You may have done something bad. Maybe, you stole something or you betrayed someone. There is only one person who has seen you do it — no one else — and they know your secret. If you kill that person, no one will know about the terrible thing that you have done. Dead men don't bite means once a person is dead, he or she cannot do anything.
