A stitch in time saves nine

If you tear a piece of cloth, and you leave that tear, that tear will get larger and larger over time. If you stitch it early with a needle and thread, you can probably do it quickly and easily. But the longer you leave it, the more stitching that you will have to do. According to the proverb, it is the same with all problems. The longer you leave a problem the harder it will get to solve.
